Getting ready for Feast of Fields

One more week of summer left on the calendar and we can sure tell. No frost yet at the farm, but it has come close a couple nights. It’s only a matter of time, now.
It’s been an exciting week as we prepare for Feast of Fields this weekend. We’re one of 20 pairs of farmers and chefs preparing dishes for guests to enjoy. That’s 20 different dishes prepared by premier chefs with food from local organic farms. Our dish, prepared by Oz kafé, will be cauliflower fritters with tabouleh and assorted pickled vegetables.
The event aims to showcase the amazing selection of organic food in Ottawa while raising funds for the Ottawa chapter of Canadian Organic Growers. If you’re looking for something special to do on Sunday, come check it out.
We’ve received amazing responses to our last few emails. Our future here is looking brighter every day. CSA is an important part of what we do here, and supplying a good weekly bounty to our members is always our top priority. We’ve begun working with Farmigo to make the process easier for everyone next year, and to offer more options to our members.
On that note, we are on the lookout for a new Centertown pickup location. After three years supporting the CSA, the James street folks are starting to think about moving to other lands. If you have a cozy, safe spot for a Centertown pickup location, please send a message and we can explore the possibility further. There are perks 😉

Please join us for this premier event on Sunday, September 16th from 12-4 p.m. at the Canada Agriculture Museum. Tell your neighbours, friends, co-workers, family members, etc. Tickets are selling fast!
